The Baltimore Ravens have now solved their longest-standing problem. Since the inception of the franchise in 1996, the Ravens have, despite a SuperBowl appearance and victory, always suffered at the quarterback position. Not any more.
Joining 2005 acquisitions from the Tennessee Titans Samarie Rolle and Derrick Mason, 3-time ProBowl quarterback Steve McNair has joined the Ravens' roster as starting QB for the 2006 season. McNair's stats are impressive. Along with only Fran Tarkenton, Randall Cunningham, John Elway and Steve Young, he has passed for more than 25,000 yards
AND rushed for more than 5,000 yards in his career. Surely such a talented professional has what it takes to take the ravens back to the top, especially when he is not only rejoining the aforementioned Rolle and Mason, but also veteran tight end Todd Heap, wide receiver Mark Clayton and
4 rookie receivers. This sounds like the formula for success for the 2006 Baltimore Ravens.
